Hi, my name is Tracie and this is my buddy Augie. Augie and I have been best friends for quite a while now and as you can see from our smiling faces we are very fond of each other. I've been a volunteer at MARL for 6 years and although I love every animal here, I want to tell you about Augie and why I have completely fallen in love with him.

Augie has been at MARL for just about his whole life, he is a beautifully well adjusted dog.  He walks on a leash like a champ.  He is so happy to run and play in the yard and is very affectionate and well behaved.  You're probably wondering why I don't take him home myself, trust me, I only WISH I could!  Unfortunately, I can’t bring home every dog I fall in love with here, although I would love to.

Augie is a very good, lovable, affectionate dog that would be the perfect friend/companion/teddy bear for anyone.  If you’ve got room in your heart and home for this special boy then come over to the shelter and meet him in person!

Augie is a 4 year old lab-terrier mix and would do best as the only dog in a household.
