MARL is tremendously grateful for the individuals and companies that host events and programs on their own to raise funds and awareness for our organization. These Third Party events are a fantastic way for members of the community and businesses to support the animals of MARL in their own way.
Some examples of Third Party Events include:
Jeans Day: Some offices choose to gather a $5 (or any amount) donation from each employee who wishes to participate and in return, those employees are offered the opportunity to wear jeans to work on a designated day.
Children's Events: We encourage children who love animals to help in any way that they can get excited about, whether it's a wish list drive at school (or with an organization they are a part of such as scouts or school groups) or a good old lemonade stand. Every little bit helps!
Parties: A popular trend in parties for adults and children is to ask for a donation to MARL in place of a gift.
Business Events/ Programs: Often businesses hold special events or programs offering discounts on services or items and donating a portion of the proceeds to MARL.
We can often provide materials for these events and even promote them on our website. We also feature several Third Party events in our newsletter!
If you are interested in hosting a Third Party event please contact Marlvolunteers@aol.com.
Featured Third Party Event: A Special thanks goes out to the second graders from Ojibwa Elementary School who delivered several pounds of pet food, toys and blankets to the shelter. Their parents came along and everyone got to take a tour of the shelter and visit with the animals. A few families even came back to adopt a cat or dog!
