Everywhere I venture the last few days while talking to my dog owning and loving friends there is one common theme. “My dogs are driving ME CRAZY”. This cold winter weather has humans and canines alike hibernating in their nice warm homes. Unfortunately, our dogs still need to burn off energy no matter what the weather.
If you can manage it, bundle up, grab a couple of toys and take your dog out for a good romp in the cold. I try to make sure I give my dogs a good 45 minutes a day of play. We play fetch, they have 2 jolly balls and luckily they are pretty happy to chase them, each other and me around the yard. Frisbee, balls, whatever your dog loves will help keep your happy household intact.
Can’t get outside? Grab a handful of treats and teach your dog a trick. Mental stimulation is just as tiring as physical activity.
Use your imagination and have fun with your dog, and don’t forgot spring will be here soon!!!!!!! |
