After 9 years of volunteering at MARL the one thing that constantly amazes me are the people that come in, walk through the noisy kennel, choose an adult dog, take them home and live happily ever after.

You all deserve angel on earth halos. My question when I come into the shelter is always “Did any of the big dogs get adopted” They are so wonderful, Augie who has been there since he was a puppy, big wise eyes, gentle soul, oh, where is that single gal who would like a wonderful companion, but also wants a dog that will look and probably be protective. Then there is Barnabus who really only wants to have lots of blankets and be comfortable. When he looks at me with his human (yes they really are like looking into a persons eyes) I just melt. The brothers Oscar and Edgar, also there since they were babies. Such nice boys, always happy and sweet. Then there is Sasha, with her funny smiling face, who has been there since she was a baby. WAIT, Oh yeah those angels on earth recently came and adopted Sasha. Yahoo!!!!!!!

There were lots of tears when Sasha left, both happy for her, and missing her funny, happy face and wagging tail.

Sasha, my wish for you is that you live many happy years with your new family and maybe come and visit once in awhile……
